A Highly Anticipated Metroidvania | Twilight Monk Demo Gameplay
0Hello everyone! We keep playing demos from the Steam Next Fest. This is Twilight Monk, a highly anticipated metroidvania. I had been waiting for a long time to get a chance to play this and finally we got a free demo to try, and... I didn't like it :'(. I really like the visual aspect and I think there is a lot of content for metroidvania fans to enjoy (variety of enemies, areas, quests and so on...), but I just couldn't enjoy the combat in the game, way to simplistic that it felt awkward. Also, there was too much walking and talking right from the start when I just wanted to fight.
There is probably more content in the demo after unlocking the dash, but I just wasn't in the mood to keep playing. Maybe if the dash was a starting upgrade I would have enjoyed this more (certainly I would have with vertical attacks).
