Top-down Action Roguelite/Soulslike | Savara Demo Gameplay
2Hello everyone! We continue playing demos part of the Steam Next Fest. This is Savara, a top-down action roguelite/soulslike that mixes the upgrade system of hack & slash roguelite games like Hades and Swornd, with the Stamina system and slow-paced combat of soulslikes. The main problem, in my opinion, is that most of your actions are slow-paced and you don't stagger enemies, making the experience a game of patience, running away and waiting for the right time to hit (pretty similar to my experience in Mark of the Deep). There might be people who are into this, but for me it was too tedious to be enjoyable. I still think there are a bunch of nice mechanics in the game, but just the combat itself felt monotonous.
