A Lombax's New Venture - Desert Squiddo LPs - Ratchet & Clank (2002) P1
Hey all, a new playthrough has arrived and to celebrate the upcoming release of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, then it's fair to go back to the game that started it all.
Yes folks, it's the original 2002 game on the PlayStation 2 which I LP'd back in 2014 and this is a brand new run of the game from the beginning (and it'ls going to be a blind run just for the added challenge), so I may be rusty to start, but I will improve as the game goes on.
So to start the game off, Ratchet makes final adjustments to his new ship, but is missing a crucial component of it. Meanwhile, a small robot gets himself into trouble with the security robots and ends up escaping with an Infobot. However, the little robot was shot down and crash lands at Veldin where Ratchet conveniently witnesses the ship crashing. After retrieving the robot, he tells Ratchet about saving the solar system and is looking for Galactic superhero, Captain Qwark. Ratchet is shown the Infobot of Blargian chairman Alonzo Drek who intends on building a superplanet of other planets available due to the Blargian homeworld being polluted and overpopulated. After watching the video, the robot asks Ratchet to assist him but the latter is unable to as he is missing one key component of his ship, the Robotic Ignition System. After seeing some enemy robots land on the planet, Ratchet agrees to help the robot find Captain Qwark and get to the planet that the Infobot's co-ordinates has. Once they crash land on Novalis, Ratchet & Clank now have to get a ship in order to get out of the planet, but encounter a plumber who needs bolts to escape the war torn area. More to come in the next part.
