The saga picks up where Ratchet & Clank leaves off in Planet Umbris, Captain Qwark wishes them luck in the fitness course where the duo are met with bombs, turrets and all kinds of traps. After conquering the course, both Ratchet & Clank seal their destiny, but Qwark tricks them into helping him when in fact he is the official spokesperson for Chairman Drek's new planet. Ratchet was enraged at not only Qwark's betrayal, but also Clank for leading him into this mess (which is ironic seeing as Ratchet wanted to help Clank find Qwark in the first place). However, the two manage to dispatch the Blargian Snagglebeast and obtain an infobot with co-ordinates to Planet Batalia where a fully blown war by the Blarg is taking place. Ratchet, angered by being setup had enough and wanted to pay Qwark back, but after being unable to start Qwark's ship up, Clank reminded him that he needed the robot to start the ship. However, things weren't much better with Qwark neither as Drek scalded him for failing to kill Ratchet & Clank and tells him that he needs to deliver or else. The part ends when the Commander gives the duo the orders to meet him at the city entrance. Next time, the duo traverse the war torn Batalia and the hot crater Gaspar.
