In this part, we explore Lavender Town before entering the Pokemon Tower. Inside we speak with an elderly woman to receive the Formal Set of clothing and move up a floor to find Lance. It turns out a Cubone appeared looking for it's mother, a Marowak. After defeating Lance, we move on to the next floor to encounter a ghost, forcing us to leave the Pokemon Tower for now (you can technically fight through the majority of the Tower now if you want, but you can't reach the top without a future item). Once outside Jesse and James kidnap the Cubone and take it to their hideout in Celadon City. With that in mind, we head out onto Route 8 and take another Underground Path to reach Route 7. After fighting through both routes, we finally arrive in Celadon City. In the Pokemon Center, we encounter a Channeler who can choose the type of Nature our future Pokemon will have if we choose very specific answers to her questions however it costs a hefty $10,000. We also find another Tamer willing to teach us two new moves for April; Baddy Bad, and Glitzy Glow. Baddy Bad is a Dark Type move allowing us to deal damage while also using Reflect at the same time to lower the amount of damage April takes from Physical attacks. Glitzy Glow is a Psychic Type attack that does damage while also using Light Screen to lower the amount of damage April takes from Special attacks (These attacks, just the the previous three were for Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon; are in honor of Umbreon and Espeon).
