The Mechanical Abyss is located at layer four, also called "Day 4" when in the pre-loop section of the game. For many beginners, it tops the list of the game's hardest biomes. From the endless defenses to the deathly caves to the Great Machine itself, the Mechanical Abyss appears as impossible to successfully venture through. However, there are several strategies that can be utilized to make the biome significantly easier. Once employed, the Mechanical Abyss will no longer be the constant death sentence it once was.

I want to thank the Deeper Veterans for helping me gather the clips. Without them, it would've been next to impossible to get some of these correct. Furthermore, I'd like to thank Qansy for giving me the idea of creating this guide; it turned out to be quite interesting.
