A Mix of Slay The Spire-like Deckbuilder Roguelike with Match-3 | Demon's Mirror demo
1Hello everyone! Here we are with a demo from the past Steam Deckbuilders Festival. This is Demon's Mirror, a deckbuilder roguelike that combines the classic Slay The Spire style of card combat with match-3, which ended up being a quite interesting and fun combination. You use energy to play your cards AND to create chains, so you have to decide which one has better chances of giving you nice results. There are, of course, quite a bunch of synergies you can start building, and plenty of new stats (compared to other games) that depènd on this matching mechanic. My favourite part of the game was the way of dealing with different enemies, going from card-playing to just chain combos, same with the boss. I would keep explaining the game, but it's better if you just watch. Gameplay was really fun and fresh and music quite epic.
