Battle Your Way Through A Cosmic Quest For a New Home In This Deckbuilder Roguelite | Earthless demo
2Hello everyone! This was another demo I played during the Steam Deckbuilder Festival. This is Earthless, a pretty cinematic deckbuilder roguelite where you play as the captain of a crew on a quest to find our new home, while battling its way through the dangers of the universe. During each battle encounter, your objective will be to kill a bunch of enemies then pass through the asteroid obstacles and go to the next one, using your energy and heat to play cards and move. There are also a bunch of ugprades you can get and some events where you can take decisions, affecting the morale of your crew, which can apparently affect you positively or negatively, but so far in the demo I only experienced one of those, granting me a damage/range boost.
There are a few things that didn't work how I thought they were supposed to (mostly card effects and energy recovery) and I am not sure if they were bugs or just me not understanding the game properly, but overall it was a pretty enjoyable journey. I am only sad of not experiencing a lot of the unique part of the game during the demo, but it makes sense anyways.
