A Mix of Visual Novel with Tower Defense | Let's Try Nexus Defenders
1Hello everyone! This is Nexus Defenders, not a demo, a game that was released last February, and it is a mix of Visual Novel with Tower Defense set in a futuristic world where our mighty protector has been disable and now the time has come to defend ourselves, and it's there when our tower defense gameplay comes in action. The core gameplay is pretty default, waves of enemies come to attack our core and it is our job to place turrets to prevent it. We also count with active skills, which we can use by wasting energy/mana... Sadly, even when fully upgraded, I felt like the turrets where way too weak compared to those powers, and most of the time I had to count on them to get rid of the enemies. Also, I feel like the fast enemies, which usually are the easy to kill, have way too much HP and getting swarmed by them is too much punishment.
Finally, I feel like the game escalates too quickly, being the third level already with 15 waves and a final one that seemed too much (I tried it a couple of times with different layouts, but by the end I would get annihilated).
