A Modern RPG with that Retro goodness-Terra Memoria Steam Next Fest Demo
2Time for more Steam Next Fest demos with Chichuki. This time around, we're checking out Terra Memoria, and turn based RPG that feels right out the 1990's era of gaming. I love turn based RPG battles and Terra Memoria has a great battle system. You have your basic attacks as well as your special attacks. Then there's an interesting mechanic when you have a Bard join your party. He doesn't fight as a party member though. What he does do is join with one of your party members and effects that member and their attacks. If you have an attack that will heal someone, it will do damage instead whereas an attack that does damage, will heal. It adds strategy to a simple battle system. The writing is very well done and I have already started to like the characters in the demo. A rhino who knows magic and a fox who came back to her hometown to discover her parents are missing. Fans of classic RPGs will want to check out Terra Memoria.
