Time to delve once again into our D&D 5e monster manual to take a peek at the manticore. This is a long time favorite monster of dungeon masters. The make great threats, side kicks, mounts, and even NPCs for encounters and adventures. Some monsters are just much more monstrous than others and the manticore is one of those. I remember 1st seeing this monster in 1st edition advanced dungeons and dragons and being in awe of it.
