A Recap of the Treasure Hunt Event and the Reward! - Planet Crafter
Hello Everyone,
Planet Crafter got a small quality of life update and with it came a surprise treasure hunt. What are we hunting for? A sneak peek to see what the next major update for the game is of course. This was an awesome community driven event to see unfold and the ending was better than anyone could have expected.

Planet Crafter just held a treasure hunt, the end reward was a sneak peek of the next major update. The community including myself hopped on this pretty quick and solved the riddles in 6 hours time.
This video will go over the event from start to finish and thus will spoil the ending.
Miju Games posted what was the starting hint to the hunt along with a small quality-of-life update. You could now find crashed satellites in your world so people hopped on and posted the coordinates for the ones they found on the forums. Each location came with a message, this would usually just be 2 letters. However, not long after we figured out that not everyone was able to find these satellites at the same location, and people even got different messages. Turns out there is only a limited amount of them per world so 1 world would not be able to get the full message. With this new knowledge, the community opped to post the letters they found instead and after a while, we got 22 letters that had to be combined. The letters WW and W. tipped people off that this would be a website of some sort and quickly figured out the rest. The letters combined spelled out www.sentinel-corp.space.
Going to this website presented you with the sentinel corp sector log book. The next step would be to type in a sector name.
I rushed back in-game as I remembered there were a lot of emails you got at the start of the game and 1 told you the sector this planet was in.
This was indeed correct, the game told you that you were sent to the Izitial Prime sector. Typing this into the site and clicking view logs revealed a lot of text.
"Our first efforts to conquer and terraform the Izitial Prime sector, hasn't, for now, found success.
We estimate it's because of the harsh environment of the planets in this sector among other factors.
Our data indicates that 48 Planet Crafters has been sent there already, and most of their chips indicate ceased activities.
It seems that a few of them still barely survive, but it won't be enough.
Our department recommends an increase in the process efforts has this sector investments could lead to great returns."
I wasn't sure where to go from here and thought this would have been the end, a vague message telling us that Sentinel Corp is stepping up their game and sending more stuff to the planet, maybe a space trading 2 update?
A few hours later I checked back on the forums and someone cracked the code, a code I totally missed. At the bottom, there was a string of numbers and at the end, it showed coordinates. Going to this location did however not yield anything new.
Not until 1 smart person figured out the first set of numbers were meant to be used when making a new custom world. The first few numbers were part of the slider settings and the 0 and 1s were meant to showcase which boxes had to be checked and which didn't.
After creating a new world I ran to the coordinates and found a chest with a warden key next to the pedestal. After placing the key in its slot a building popped out from under the ground.
This being a new world of course I died of lack of oxygen.
After running back and checking inside there were 4 giant golden statues depicting astronauts and a pedestal saying 2024.
With this, the treasure hunt was over and the outcome seems to heavily imply that we are getting 4 player co-op next year.
This event was the perfect way to announce such an update as it took everyone to collect the data we needed to get to this point. Or you had to be that 1 guy who made a lot of new worlds to find every satellite message on their own.
According to the update log the official reveal should be in a few days, so soon we shall see if we were correct in assuming this meant multiplayer is coming to Planet Crafter.
I hope you all enjoyed this video, I tried to keep it short and it is meant as a memorial for this event and what the community has accomplished.
Hope to see you all next time, bye everyone.
