After having their detour at the Megacorp Games, Ratchet & Clank continue on with their mission and enter through the Deep Space Disposal Facility and use the password Fizzwidget gives to them, but it ends up being wrong when the defenses attack the duo's ship. After disabling the defenses, Clank criticises Mr. Fizzwidget on giving them a erroneous password, but the CEO shot a commercial, deliberately distracting Ratchet & Clank from telling them about the experiment. After getting the co-ordinates at Planet Todano, the duo explore the facility in order to find more about the experiment, only to find the female lombax from earlier calling Ratchet who is named Angela Cross. Angela tells the duo about Thugs-4-Less terminating their ties with her and were given a better offer and mentions the experiment's new name; the Protopet. After seeing a shocking advert of the Protopet, Ratchet & Clank were shocked to see Fizzwidget giving it the greenlight for consumer sale. The duo then try to get to Fizzwidget in which Angela gives them the co-ordinates to Silver City, Planet Boldan with Ratchet declaring that it could be their last chance. More shenanigans to come in the next part!
