A smashing 60% keyboard with hotswappable switches! An unboxing of the Redragon K530 Draconic
This is an unboxing of the Redragon K530 Draconic, a 60% minimialistic style keyboard that's smaller than a standard TKL keyboard.
This is an interesting keyboard that includes a number of nifty design features:
- 60% key design
- Outemu hot-swappable keyswitches
- USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity (works with PC, phone and tablet)
- Plug and play design (programming macros and lighting can be done via the keyboard)
- Affordable yet brilliantly made.

Highlights to the keyboard include:
- L-type USB-C cable, which lets you use custom cables or just plug it in two different ways
- Nifty RGB, that's per-key programmable
- Compact design and a very nice one too considering the price
- Plenty of style
- RGB lighting includes multiple presets with weird and wonderful names like "the trial of light", "flowers blooming", "swift action" and more. Plus it's per-key illumination too!
Lowlights:
- Problems with bluetooth accuracy - extra keystrokes, unrecognised inputs or delays (not ideal for gaming)
- Frustrating setup for simple things like using arrow keys (this requires pressing FN as well as W,A,S or D)
- Keycaps are a little low quality in terms of the edging
All told, it's a great keyboard considering the price. Really nifty looking thing. It's satisfying to use too. The keystrokes are great and you can customise it with other switches.
The Redragon K530 Draconic uses Outermu switches. See here - https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&c=328
Available in brown, blue, black or red. You get a sample in the box so you can try them out. This means you could easily change all the switches or just a few.
These keyswitches are branded as Redragon, but are the Outemu design. It's also worth noting that they're a standard design, so you could upgrade the keycaps with PBT doubleshot keycaps if you wanted.

Please note, I was asked by Redragon to look at this keyboard. It was sent to me for free, but as you can see I created an honest subjective review of the device.
Another note, apologies for the weird shield on my finger, but I hurt it recently and you don't want to see that, trust me.
