A Strange Mission- The FLUDD Returns (No-jump Run)
Savestates: NO
I would love to see a completely airborne level with scattered bubbles of water all over the place while you approach an airship and dodge bullet bills and cannonballs and what not...hmmm...
In any case, the FLUDD device seems to have transitioned into the SMW mechanics quite well, meaning that controlling the thing isn't imprecise or annoying like a winged Yoshi can be. What's nice is that you can perform all of Mario's moves as you normally can, since the FLUDD is assigned to the up button, but this also means you can't jump out of water without using the FLUDD. I suppose that isn't a big deal though, as the level never requires you to use every last ounce of water, and there are puddles aplenty.
One strange thing is that you can maintain your speed if you slide into FLUDD use, but this isn't the case with a full-speed running jump.
