It was recently revealed that the actor, Brendan O' Brien passed away, earlier in the year, on March 23rd 2023.

He will be missed by his fans all over the world, especially those who grew up playing the Crash Bandicoot video games.

Brendan played the titular Crash Bandicoot from the first game in 1996, through to the third game, Crash Bandicoot: Warped in 1998, and again in Crash Bash in 2000 and Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex in 2001. Archive audio of his voice lines of Crash were used for games on the Game Boy Advance, including Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure (also known as Crash Bandicoot XS in Europe) in 2002, Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced in 2003, and Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage (also known as Crash Fusion in Europe) in 2004. Archive audio of his Crash voice lines would be used one final time in a scene from 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

In addition to Crash Bandicoot, he played a wide range of characters throughout the series. He voiced Dr. Neo Cortex and Dr. Nitrus Brio in the original Crash Bandicoot, and returned to voice Dr. Nitrus Brio in addition to Dr. N. Gin, Tiny Tiger and Komodo Moe in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. He returned to voice N. Gin and Tiny Tiger in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, and voiced the two characters once again in Crash Team Racing, in addition to Pinstripe Potoroo. He would voice Tiny Tiger again, in addition to reprising his roles as Dr. Nitrus Brio and Komodo Moe, as well as voicing Papu Papu for the first time in Crash Bash. In his final outing - Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, the only additional character he voiced was Tiny Tiger. He would also voice Fake Crash via archival recordings in Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced.

I decided to make a short tribute video to honor Brendan for being a MASSIVE part of my childhood, and undoubtedly many other people's childhoods as well.

Outside of his roles in the Crash Bandicoot universe, he had roles in movies like 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain which starred Hulk Hogan, and Race to Space which starred James Woods.

He also featured on TV, having roles in shows such as Candid Camera, the animated Todd McFarlane's Spawn series, and more recently Riverdale and in his final on-screen appearance in 2021 - The Slowest Show.

Rest in Peace Brendan. Thank you for voicing Crash and several beloved characters!
