Call of Krul’ar is an Indie, Lovecraftian Roguelike by Devious Oatmeal, all about offering a Pixel packing
taste of a Kingdom trying to survive the crazy pinkish purple tide! Watch?

At heart, Call of Krul’ar is a 2D, Turn-Based, Side Scrolling, Strategy Tower Defense or wave defense game, with cards. Wow.
There is a lot to unpack there, but don’t feel rushed, as time only moves forward when you do in Call of Krul’ar, with each action you take advancing the game world.
So, it is a fluid form of turn based action; fun!

You pull resources in the form of cards out of locations, which you use to build up other structures and resources, combining them in your hand, always pushing right to avoid the onslaught of neon purple pink doom!
The creepy, Cthulhuian monsters advance from screen left, and you must fight them off as you expand right, delaying them for long enough to build up more lands and structures you need for your kingdom to survive.
Keep your Castle safe, as when it falls, your ruler and kingdom falls with it.
So, make sure to make backup castles for your ruler to flee to, stage right.
