We walk through the bottom of Turda Salt Mines, Europe's oldest salt mine dating back to 1200's that has now been converted into an amusement park and tourist attraction.

There's no more mining. You can go all the way to the bottom by elevator (two elevator changes - 13 + 13 floors - ~ 26 floors down) or by walking via steps. The mines are conical in shape and 90m deep. The salt deposits on the wall are are still plenty.
