Whilst a lot of my attention still generally focuses on Triple A titles or massive RPGs, in the last few years, I’ve started to truly appreciate Indie Games.

There is just SO much passion, care, craft and genuine blood, sweat and tears that go behind creating these pieces of interactive stories or playful moments.

So, I wanted to start the new year with a little series - each month dedicated to an indie game.

I want to cherish the game, but also, my hope is to share and spread the news of each of these games to a new audience - even if it’s to a small, yet considered and caring one.

The first game I wanted to celebrate is one that I played a little while ago, called A Walk With YiaYia.

It seems to be the creators only game, but it is definitely worth experiencing first hand.

This is a story about family, connection, and healing from the past - featuring a Greek grandmother, affectionately called, “YiaYia”.
