Possibly one of the more surprising releases from 2023 was a remake of Super Mario RPG! I remember playing the original SNES version as a kid and being mystified by it because it was so different from the other Mario games I had played. It was so strange, and yet it felt like a grand adventure. And now that game had been remade for the Nintendo Switch! Naturally, as this is a remake of a game I enjoy, I had to play this for the channel (and this is the first new let's play video I recorded for 2024, BTW) so that we could revisit this classic adventure, while talking about some of the changes between this and the original.
So once again we join Mario as he seems to go on another standard "save the princess from Bowser" quest, only for things to take a very strange turn...
