A Workload Analysis of Detective Tasks: Identifying Bottlenecks and Developing Evidence-Based Strategies for Productivity Enhancement in Criminal Investigations
Layman Abstract: This study looks at how detective workloads affect their ability to solve crimes effectively. Detectives play a key role in investigating crimes and delivering justice, but excessive workloads often prevent them from focusing on the most important tasks. The goal of the study is to understand these workload challenges and find practical solutions to improve how detectives work. By analyzing data on detective workloads, the study identifies how administrative tasks can get in the way of criminal investigations and suggests new ways of managing workload, such as using technology and better teamwork. It emphasizes how the mental well-being of detectives is tied to their productivity, showing that improving work-life balance can help reduce stress and burnout, leading to more successful investigations.
