So... for those of you who don't already know, AAC's Daily Drive does actually support Virtual Player Count (as well as all other EX Options, I think)... but only if you run the game directly, and not via Steam (i.e. find the game directory and run the "cactus" executable yourself... if you run the game via Steam, VPC will be disabled for the Dailies, even if Steam is in Offline Mode)! =)

[A little extra info for anybody interested]

[Location note: If you don't know where the game directory is, you should be able to find it by right-clicking the game in Steam, selecting "Properties" then "Local Files" then "Browse"]

[Save file note: Running the game directly uses a different Save File location, so if you want to use your Steam AAC save file (which you should be able to find at "Steam/userdata/(user#)/250110/remote" (or a similar location, depending on your OS or other factors)), just copy that save file (game0a.sav) into the "cactus_Data" subdirectory in your game directory]

[Gameplay note: Because you're not running the game through Steam, the game will look at your OS for date and time info... so you can actually choose any day you want simply by changing your OS's date and time! Also, the game will allow you to play the Dailies as many times as you want, instead of just once (the Offline Dailies use a different set of seeds, though, so they will be different from the Online Dailies)]

So... back at the beginning of April, I posted a VPC4 Daily for the first time... and while I was pretty happy I'd managed to get a VPC4 0-knockdown win for the April Fools Daily (alas, lost the chain due to the extra health that VPC4 Embryo had!)... I definitely wanted to try for a VPC4 Full Chain (S+) Daily at some point. Maybe not immediately after the April Fools Daily, but definitely at some point! ^.^

Anyway... more recently, I realized that 7/7 was coming up (i.e. the day I created my first "Cavalcadence" account, so... basically my "Cavalcadence birthday", I suppose ^_^), so I figured that was as good an excuse as any to take a look at that day's VPC4 Daily Drive... so I did. =)

Unfortunately, the 1P Daily had a boss battle (Vespula) in it (with a VPC4 amount of health, a Boss Battle will almost certainly mean losing your chain!). =p

The 2P Daily, on the other hand, did not. =)

So I gave it a try... and my first try actually went fairly well... even though I didn't get the Full Chain. ^^ There were definitely some tricky spots (Layer 8 especially seemed like it could cause some problems, if not handled properly!), and I definitely had to make some strategy adjustments in a few places... and then a few more...

But long story short, eventually... this run happened. =)

So anyway, here it is, my first ever VPC4 Daily Drive Full Chain win... hope you enjoy!

0:38 Almost lost the Chain at the end of L1. ^^; I wasn't quite sure if Helo could catch up to the red bird in time, so I decided to try dragging it closer with a singularity... and fortunately, that worked. =)

4:07 Whoops, kind of got Aubergine stuck in the outer ring, going the same direction as the wall rotation, and couldn't easily get her back to safety. ^^; I definitely thought the Chain might be ending here (especially when she got hit by that spike mine explosion!)... but somehow, Aubergine persevered, and she actually managed to make it safely back to the center... where a Shutdown was conveniently waiting. =)
