Ace Combat 7 is a return to the form of yesteryear.
Bandai Namco did everything they could to make Ace Combat 7 a top title and they succeeded.
The variety in missions is huge and in terms of graphics and audio, Ace Combat 7 is one of the flight combat titles on PC.
The story is a bit faded, but that won't stop you from getting a lot of fun out of the game.
The length of the missions can vary enormously. There are missions that can be completed in five to ten minutes, but there are also 20 to 25 minutes. It is often difficult to predict in advance how long you will be working on a mission. Fortunately, there are checkpoints. If you make a mistake, you don't have to redo the whole mission. But… these checkpoints are sometimes very far apart.
Each mission takes place in a different setting, so you're always anxiously awaiting what's to come.
What also makes you want to keep playing this game are the graphics and the sound.
You really often stand with your mouth open looking at the fantastically designed aircraft, the various types of terrain and the clouds.
Dynamic weather conditions sound nice on the back of the packaging, but the great thing is that it really adds something in Ace Combat 7. When you fly into the clouds your visibility is reduced to five meters and your cockpit is covered with rain and/or ice, but your enemies can't see you (and vice versa of course).
The Ace Combat series has developed over time from a fun game to a full-fledged Combat Flight Action Video Game that also forces you to think about the use of fighter jets.
There is also a nice multiplayer option that provides variety. If that wasn't enough, the many options in the tech tree give you plenty of options to complete each mission to the best of your ability.
