This week's commentary discusses a few topics: an update to some previous info given on the Activision Blizzard Lawsuit, WoW private servers, and (as usual) some general discussion around these topics that strays a little.

We talked about the NDAs that Activision Blizzard allegedly had people sign last week. After looking into this some more, specifically from a lawyer's perspective, it seems that these NDAs were an effort by Activision to gain some silence. The legal document presents the NDAs more like settlements between the company and individuals.

Also, something that has existed in the WoW universe for a while is private servers. Different ones host different expansions - Wrath of the Lich King, Legion, Vanilla, and more. They often offer extra content as well. Most are free, but some do charge a fee. The thing is, these servers often get targeted and shut down by Blizzard.

So, we discuss the significance of this. As well as other aspects of what impact these private servers actually have on the profitability of the official WoW product.

Watch the video for deeper info.

***About SpyPie***

At SpyPie Gaming, we respect videogames and what they offer. We strive to have everything you need to stay current: highlights of games worth playing, news about the industry, and coverage of the community surrounding the hobby we’re most passionate about—gaming. We're currently a team of two highly dedicated contributors.

When we started, we hit the ground running down a narrow path. That has changed. We realized, rather quickly, that we're better than the credit we gave ourselves. That being said, we're still evolving. We know we're not on the level of more well known publications—yet.

We consider ourselves professionals. So, you can expect a touch of professionalism in everything we put out. If not, feel free to speak up. We believe in the concept of continuous improvement. Which leads to another thing you’ll find here: diverse perspectives.

We believe tolerance of differing views is essential to community—and that's what we're here to achieve after all: building a community.
