Activision Filed A Patent So You Can Help Them Sell Microtransactions!
585Activision had a patent approved that was filed back in 2015. The idea here is to use Matchmaking to help sell microtransactions without the player knowing. The idea is to strategically match up players based around what weapon you have to push you towards buying a weapon in game. Activision currently says it's just a patent, but we wouldn't know going forward if it will be used in a game unless they tell us.
