A.D Cop (1996) 1CC [862,550]
A.D Cop is a DOS rail shooter developed by Electronic Music and Animated Graphics (EMAG) Co., Ltd., whom you may or may not remember for making SideLine, the best DOS shooter.
A.D Cop is basically Virtua Cop on a budget, the mechanics and scoring are identical, but what is most interesting about this game, is that it runs on an extremely modified id Tech 1 (Doom Engine).
I'm not kidding, you can modify the first four lines of the .GAD file from Pack to iwad and you will be able to open it in SLADE3. Like, one of the textures used on crates is clearly lifted from Doom, there's no going around that, but that's the only thing that I would say was yoinked, everything else is completely original.
When I said extremely modified, I mean there are models and slopes, which you cannot do in vanilla Doom Engine, it also has extreme usage of DeHackEd and ACS to do all the stuff with enemies, bosses and even branching paths in certain sections of the 3 missions you play through.
The only new addition is the Bazookas, where you press the fire and reload buttons together, so you better not accidentally fire one off on just one enemy. Hostages are not killed by it.
Also, the hitboxes are a bit goofy ahh, especially the shotgun, so there are moments, where you will be forced to take a hit to go back to your revolver, otherwise you will be constantly hitting the level geometry and not the enemy, despite having your crosshair on them.
