17Adam and Eve The True Meaning of the Fall - The Bible is a book of myths, almost none of which are actual historical events. I know I am going to step on a lot of toes here and probably get trolled but I have to speak the truth.
Look at it closely and you will see it corresponds perfectly the experience that everyone has with childhood trauma, with innocence loss and finding ourselves kicked out of the garden of total love and acceptance into the ponderous burden of earning acceptance and even the right to live and love.
Understood as such it provides a powerful metaphor for coming to terms with what is a fact in all human experience. That is, of course, the whole purpose of myth. Not to record history but to illuminate the present.
