After much speculation, Adam Copeland is All Elite.
Adam Copeland (Edge) officially arrived in AEW at AEW WrestleDream, helping Sting and Darby Allin after the main event bout between Christian Cage and Darby.
Just as Christian was about to strike Sting with a conchairto, the lights went out and a video package played with a man driving to the arena. The pavement was marked Rated R Superstar, indicating Copeland's arrival.
"Metalingus" by Alter Bridge played and Copeland entered the arena to loud cheers from Seattle.
Copeland initially grabbed the chair to finish off Sting with the conchairto, but swung and hit Nick Wayne, who turned on Darby during the bout, and Luchsaurus before connecting with a Spear on Luchasaurus as Christian Cage scurried away.
Edge wrestled his last match for WWE on the August 18 episode of WWE SmackDown, defeating Sheamus. His contract expired with the company in September. He previously stated he had an offer from WWE in his inbox, but never stated that he had signed.
Edge started his career in 1992 and signed with WWE in 1997. He debuted on TV in 1998. He and Christian won the WWE Tag Team Titles on seven separate occasions during their run together. In 2011, Edge was forced to retire due to injuries. He made his return to the ring in 2020 as a surprise entrant in the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble.
Adam Copeland will waste no time getting on television.
AEW announced that Adam Copeland (Edge) will speak on the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite. Furthermore, he will take on Luchasaurus on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.
