1) Update the Instagram app to the latest version
2) Open Instagram and login to your account
3) Go to your chat screen by tapping on the Chat/DM icon on the top right
4) Select any chat to whom you want to send a message
5) Then simply go about creating a simple message
6) Before tapping on Send, tap on the search button on the left hand side next to the message
7) Choose your effect and tap on Send.
