I don't think serving the public trust works like this...

In today's episode of Ancient DOS Games, Gemini was GOING to take a look at Lode Runner: The Legend Returns, but the copy on hand turned out to be Windows only, so instead, we're taking a look at Roboman, another much more obscure puzzle platformer put out by Brian Goble in 1989.

This is a fairly average game through and through, but because of its core mechanic involving popping balloons, it tends to maintain the player's attention a bit better than you'd expect. Still, the level design is blatantly evil so that just means you'll be even MORE frustrated than usual when you finally stop playing! :P

Additional Information and Corrections:

* Here's a link to the page on the DOS Games website where this game can be downloaded from: https://www.dosgames.com/game/roboman/

* Here's a link to the ProJared video I made a reference to, with a time-code to the balloon room. WARNING: This small section may be all fun and harmless, but moments after the balloons are gone the game goes back to being super-gory and disturbing. Don't say I didn't warn you... in big capital letters no less: https://youtu.be/pJqN3u-R9Vs?t=862

* I think I may've pronounced Brian's last name "Goble" wrong... Not sure though.

* There's various pieces of PC Speaker music strewn throughout this game and every single one of them I'd swear I've heard before as proper tunes but I can't quite place any of them... If anyone has any ideas, leave 'em in the comments! (Check to make sure no one else beat you to the punch though!)
