------------------------------------------

One of those experiences that has sort of been lost to time thanks to the internet and digital download services is coming home from school as a child, plopping a CD full of shareware and demo versions of software into your computer, and just picking games at random to try out. So, I figured it would be fun to share this experience as best as I could.

While this is a very long episode (split into two parts) and is fairly slow paced, it really does get the experience across... at least a little. ;)

Additional Information and Corrections:

* Yes, despite all the cracked games on these CDs, I bought the package at a Radio Shack for $20 back around 1995. Actually, it's funny that I hit so many in this episode because the vast majority of the games on the discs really are shareware demos and freeware. :B

* I figured out why that "Jello" directory was named as such. As you may've noticed in the directory listing, there was another executable file labelled "menu" and way too many files for what was such a simple text-mode thing. Well, turns out menu.exe is actually the full version of the original CGA version of "Jeopardy" of all things! Also, I can't find any information on who made that Othello game.
