This is a blind playthrough/let's play of Trails in the Sky on Nightmare Mode where I cannot change any character's weapons, armor, or accessories, making it a "starting gear only" challenge run! Can strategy and orbments overcome our terrible equipment on the hardest difficulty? Let's find out!
I've been super excited to stream a challenge run of Trails in the Sky! I've completed challenge runs of Trails of Cold Steel 1, Trails of Cold Steel 2, and Trails from Zero (in that order), so I was really looking forward to challenge running another Trails game. And when I saw that a remake of Trails in the Sky was coming out soon and that one of my favorite YouTube channels, NicoB, was making a Let's Play of Trails in the Sky, I knew that it was well past time for me to challenge run the first game in the Trails series. I've deliberately refrained from watching NicoB's let's play of Trails in the Sky to avoid spoilers, but I will be curious to see how much of the lore that I learned from Trails from Zero and Trails of Cold Steel 1-2 is connected to Trails in the Sky. Even if NicoB is currently playing Trails in the Sky the Third, I will avoid watching any Trails in the Sky videos until I have finished this challenge run. So without further ado, let's challenge run the Legend of Estelle: Trails in the Sky!
