7There are many ways to build a commander deck, but some truth is there are ways to improve the decks overall building process. You look at a deck, any deck list, you should see the way the deck should start and follow how it gets to it's win. You know see from point "A to point B" When building a deck I like to start off with a scope. Where I dedicate the opening card slots as starter points. 1 Mana ramp, fixing and draw cards I try to dedicate 12 cards in a deck for them, and as I build the deck, I will adjust those numbers higher or lower as needed. Like for removal, creature kill spells and artifact, planeswalker and enchantment removal, I try to dedicate 10 cards in a deck for those card slots as well. and silly enough I dedicate upto 8 board wipes in a deck. Like mentioned earlier I adjust numbers according to a deck build during the process. I like o lean on commander synergies. When looking at a commander, I like to determine if either the deck should support the commander or have the commander support the deck. Commanders swing one way over the other most times.
