On India Development Debate, In a big blow to international students in the United States, they will have to leave the country if their classes have completely gone online. The pandemic has forced many institutions to shift classes online in their fall semester. But as per the new guidelines, a student can be deported back home if their fall semester classes are completely online. The only option they have now is to either shift courses and opt for a online-offline mix class or come back home. Soon after the guidelines were released, President Donald Trump tweeted that schools must open in Fall. Meanwhile, the move has attracted criticism from various US political leaders like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Larry Bacow, President-Harvard University too said they are concerned about this move. So To discuss how this is going to impact Indian students which form a significant chunk of that international diaspora in the States, Tune in for the full interview with Meera Shankar, Former Ambassador To USA, Chidanand Rajghatta, Columnist & Author and Sumeet Jain, Co-founder, Yocket.
