On India Development Debate, In in its latest step towards Unlock, Maharashtra government has decided to allow hotels outside containment zones to operate from July 8. They will be allowed to function at 33 per cent of capacity with a whole host of safety measures. Only asymptomatic guests will be allowed and they will have to declare information like travel history and medical condition to the hotels. But gyms, swimming pools and arcades will continue to remain shut. Restaurants inside the hotel will also be available only for residents of the hotel. But one another factor that draws attention and something that might make customers uneasy is that hotels which are being used as a quarantine facility but have an unused capacity of 67% can also be opened.
