AFUL’s upcoming dongle DAC the SnowyNight features dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 high-end decoding chips. It also comes standard with an enhanced USB cable.
This special cable utilizes premium 6N monocrystalline copper cable which is greatly improved over the standard OFC copper material. This cable provides improved signal conductivity and power transmission quality.
The SnowyNight will feature a dual headphone interface, with 3.5 single-ended and 4.4 balanced options. The output frequency response range is 20HZ-20KHz, and the operating voltage range is 4.2V~5.3V. The device has a robust signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range, with the 4.4 balanced option boasting a higher signal-to-noise ratio than its single-ended counterpart.
The line output level varies based on the interface type and gain, with the 4.4 flat option offering higher gain levels than the 3.5 single-ended option. The THD+N levels are below 0.00037%, with slightly better performance on the flat interface. The device has a power output range of 140mW-300mW.
