The Kipchak is the unique unit of the Cumans in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. It is a cavalry archer that fires multiple arrows at once, similar to the Chu Ko Nu. Unlike Chu Ko Nu, however, Kipchaks release their arrows in one burst, not one after another.
Like in the case of Chu Ko Nu, only the first arrow does full damage and is affected by damage upgrades, though. All the other arrows fired deal 3 pierce damage and 0 melee damage (the latter is very helpful when battling rams). A regular Kipchak fires two arrows per volley, and an Elite Kipchak fires four. Like in the case of Chu Ko Nu, however, one or two additional arrows may frequently deal no damage, even if fired up close.
Kipchaks can be upgraded to Elite Kipchaks in the Imperial Age. In addition to 2 more arrows per volley, Elite Kipchaks receive +1 damage for the 'main' arrow and +5 HP.
The Teutonic Knight is the unique unit of the Teutons in Age of Empires II. It is a slow, heavily armored infantry unit with a powerful attack.
Teutonic Knights can be upgraded to Elite Teutonic Knights in the Imperial Age.
