The Atari 2600 is obviously the granddaddy of gaming, it may not have been the first home console, but it is one of the most popular. Proof of how popular it permeates gaming today with independent homebrew developers continuing to release new games for it. Agent Q by artefacto is one of the more recent releases I came across.
