AI/ML Challenge Finale: QoS prediction, Network Traffic Scenario Prediction & SDN Security
The ITU AI/ML in 5G Challenge in 2023 (Fourth edition) offers a platform for collaboratively addressing the problems in applying AI/ML in communication networks including 5G & 6G. The Challenge connects participants (students and professionals) from more than 100 countries, with industry and academia solving real-world problems using AI/ML in communication networks. The challenge is offering 12 problem statement in 2023. Some of these problem statements includes;\n\nMulti-environment automotive QoS prediction \nIntrusion and Vulnerability Detection in Software-Defined Networks \nNetwork Traffic Scenario Prediction \n \nParticipants are tasked with producing machine learning models for precise predictions or detections, which in turn propel advancements for 5G or even 6G technologies. Participating in these challenges developed ML models for; (a) QoS prediction and the use of transfer learning and/or domain adaptation to generalize the trained algorithms across operators, vehicles, or urban areas (b) detecting vulnerabilities and intrusions in SDNs and deepening their understanding of the critical nature of SDN security and (c) to predict the traffic scenario for unknown traffic. \n\nCash Prizes: The ITU AI/ML in 5G Challenge has set up prize pools of different sizes to reward outstanding teams totaling to 3,000 CHF. Each problem statement will receive 1,000 CHF or 1,000 USD to be split amongst winning solutions. \n\nSpeakers:\nEvren Tuna\n6G Researcher \nUlak Communications\n\nLiya Yuan\nOpen Source & Standardization Engineer\nZTE\n\nRodrigo Hernangómez\nResearch Associate\nFraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI)\n\nModerators:\nThomas Basikolo\nProgramme Officer\nInternational Telecommunication Union (ITU)\n\nVishnu Ram OV\nIndependent Research Consultant\nConsultant\n\nJoin the Neural Network!\nhttps://aiforgood.itu.int/neural-network/\nThe AI for Good networking community platform powered by AI. \nDesigned to help users build connections with innovators and experts, link innovative ideas with social impact opportunities, and bring the community together to advance the SDGs using AI.\n\n Watch the latest #AIforGood videos!\n\n\n Stay updated and join our weekly AI for Good newsletter:\nhttp://eepurl.com/gI2kJ5\n\nCheck out the latest AI for Good news:\nhttps://aiforgood.itu.int/newsroom/\n\nExplore the AI for Good blog:\nhttps://aiforgood.itu.int/ai-for-good-blog/\n\n Connect on our social media:\nWebsite: https://aiforgood.itu.int/\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/AIforGood\nLinkedIn Page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/26511907 \nLinkedIn Group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/8567748 \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/aiforgood \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/AIforGood\n\nWhat is AI for Good?\nWe have less than 10 years to solve the UN SDGs and AI holds great promise to advance many of the sustainable development goals and targets.\nMore than a Summit, more than a movement, AI for Good is presented as a year round digital platform where AI innovators and problem owners learn, build and connect to help identify practical AI solutions to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.\nAI for Good is organized by ITU in partnership with 40 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with Switzerland.\n\nDisclaimer:\nThe views and opinions expressed are those of the panelists and do not reflect the official policy of the ITU.
