Due to the amazing level of knowledge posessed by you, the watchers of my videos, and your curiosity, we're going to look at the subtle differences in different versions of the same engine.
We're comparing the compressor outlet guide vanes of the J79 military engine and those of the CJ-805 commercial airliner engine. Both are essentially the same engine, and were the cutting edge back in the 50's and 60's.
The LM1500 industrial engine uses the aerodynamic components of the J79, and many are still operating today.
