I've cleared Slash mode before, but haven't put as much time into Climax until recently.

While Slash could be considered something of an arrange or a black label of Akai Katana, Climax is basically the original game in 16:9, with an additional stage and some other tweaks. It's also surprisingly challenging. Slash feels like it's balanced around the almost complete lack of slowdown this port has, while Origin and Climax just aren't. Add in the extra stage, and it's a decently tough clear.

The audio looping issue that was present during my Slash clear has been fixed, so it runs pretty much perfectly in Xenia. You can even turn off Vsync and use free/G-sync instead to reduce the input lag.
