Been a bit since I've uploaded anything. This was almost a no-miss until I choked right at the last stage. Painful ending, but I'm happy to get this clear down. Also, I'm pretty sure the F option formation is the best of the bunch and trivializes much of the game

Gradius III snes is an interesting case. The arcade original is notorious for being incredibly difficult and unfun, so as a response the snes port was rebalanced into a game that can actually be enjoyed by human beings. However, it was also plagued with huge amounts of slowdown that end up making the game too easy in my opinion.

Enter the SA-1 patch. The first patch removed all slowdown, but due to the way the game was programmed, caused the bosses to move at light speed. The revised SA-1 Origin patch fixes this, and results in what I honestly think is the most enjoyable version of Gradius III by a wide margin. It's just a well-designed Gradius game and isn't even all that demanding of a clear without slowdown.
