Ala Mobile (2024) - Every PC F1 Game

A full-featured mobile F1 game that appeared on Steam in late 2024. It just missed my 40 years of F1 crashes videos though!
Programmed in Unity by a solo developer, this is a pretty impressive effort, reminding me of something like Paolo Cattani's Virtual Grand Prix series. It features an entire F1 season, though the Abu Dhabi track has been replaced by Dubai.
The tracks and cars are pretty well modelled, though the draw-depth and lighting definitely feels mobile-derived. There are many features like ERS, brake bias, etc, it's definitely a bit more complex than it first seems (you even have to nominate which tyres to take to a race, and more!).
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 Here's Monza, the lighting is a little low-quality and the scenery made from pre-made assets, so it's not 100% accurate.
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:37 Silverstone in the rain, could probably do with better modelled spray. It's also based on the old pre-2010 layout.
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:54 Monaco has some extra building not there in real-life. But the buildings after the tunnel are missing, it's a much earlier version of Monaco.
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:12 Spa in the rain is reasonably terrifying, but grip seems okay here.
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:33 The pitlane is a bit basic-looking, but damage can be repaired.
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:57 Crashes can be pretty epic, if not entirely realistic. I like the upset driver animation!
