FBI agent Saga Anderson is heading to Bright Falls, unaware of the terrors she’s set to confront in Alan Wake II.
She wouldn’t have been sent, either, but for the vigilance of our rookie FBI agents – 19 of the web’s top influencers who used their wits to piece together clues from a set of cold cases, causing Saga and her team to be dispatched to the horrors lying deep within Bright Falls.
TAKEOFF was asked to create a special narrative-driven global Alternate Reality Game (ARG) campaign before Alan Wake II’s launch.
Working closely with Remedy Entertainment, our intricate plot-, tool- and evidence-heavy kits were sent out in stages to some of the world’s leading content creators, under the supervision of specialist FBI operatives.
The Epic Partners worked extremely hard with their own rookie audience to link clues consistent across three murder and missing persons cases in Bright Falls, which saw Saga and her team sent to the area to investigate further, leading into the events of Alan Wake II.
Extremely creative and engaging videos and streams were made by the influencers, attracting more than 2.6 million views from an audience hungry to discover more of the lore and enigmas surrounding the Alan Wake universe, and how it may connect to Remedy’s other titles.
And, as a final thank-you, those who took part in our global campaign also got a final kit brimming with Alan Wake II gifts and goodies. Remember, it’s not a loop, it’s a spiral…
