I've seen a few lists ranking bosses of this game and the biggest disagreement I have is this boss. In my opinion, the worst boss in the game. He has an interesting gimmick, he takes little damage and you must target his bad leg to deliver a stagger attack on him. Great in theory, but they just do it in the worst way possible.
The biggest issue is the shock ailment. Most of the status effects in this game need to be built up, giving you a chance to prevent taking effect. Shock doesn't build up, once it's on you your stamina is heavily reduced. For such an important aspect of this game (mobility) to be taken away from a single hit is ridiculous. It leads to four scenarios;
-don't get hit at all
-Use your shock removal items until you run out of them
-Get shocked and die because you can't run or dodge
-Run out the debuff by stalling the fight
Combine that with fake out stagger's to cheese a kill from off you, it makes this fight the worst in the game for me personally
