Alex Kidd In Shinobi World is a game that completely defines the Sega Master System in every way! In this adventure, Alex must rescue his girlfriend and defeat the evil dark ninja. With vibrant, colourful graphics, great controls and an outstanding soundtrack to accomany the game makes this game Alex's best yet. Interesting observation - Alex's girlfriend resembles the late great child actress Heather O'Rourke from the Poltergeist films. In another bizzare look a like scenario, Sega actually did a parody of Heather O'Rourke and the film Poltergeist III in another Master System game titled ''Laser Ghost''. But getting back on track, here is the story to this wonderful game:
Alex was having the time of his life, spending a lovely afternoon with his girlfriend on the planet Shinobi. Suddenly, gray clouds covered the sky. With a flash of lightning a dark figure descended, grabbed the girl and in no time disappeared into thin air.
Before Alex could figure out what had happened, there was another flash of lightning. This time a White Ninja appeared, it was the ghost of Joe Musashi better known as ''Shinobi''. Alex looked up as the White Ninja spoke.
''The wicked Dark Ninja, whom I banished ten thousand years ago, has returned. He took your girlfriend hostage in hopes of taking control of the Miracle World. I have come to give you my special Ninja Power. Use it wisely to exterminate the Dark Ninja!''
The White Ninja took over Alex's physical body, changing him from a frightened little, monkey boy with big ears to a tall, dark, sleek Ninja. Musashi filled Alex's tiny body with an immense amount of strength and courage, the kind he had back in the original game. The Kidd's ready to meet any challenge again!
ROUND 1: KABUTO
Kabuto, the boss runs the turmoil city high above in Shinobi World, Alex can hit him several times with his weapons but it's not going to be as easy as it sounds. First he has to get rid of his enemies in a Ninja infested pathway.
ROUND 2: RAID OF THE HELICOPTERS
After putting an end to Kabuto's law, our hero must then make his way through the harbour and make passage through shark infested waters which is crawling with more Ninjas. Alex's next battle will be against a group of helicopters which will be indicated on the screen.
My most favouritist Alex Kidd game, this was the title I used to hire out the most when I was a kid from the local video rental store. This is my perfect playthrough recorded off real hardware, no emulators.
