0Leicester City's unlikely Premier League triumph in 2016 is arguably one of the great underdog stories of the modern age... whoops, that was Leicester the Unlikely. But this is Lester the Unlikely, a game that is unlikely to become your favorite...
Lester himself is probably one of the worst video game characters ever. He's a total idiot who somehow manages to fall asleep on the docks and get himself loaded as cargo onto a ship and is a total wimp, refusing initially to drop down ledges or jump spiky chasms and also runs away from crabs and turtles (and when he does so, you temporarily lose control).
The gameplay itself isn't as bad, but rather flawed nonetheless. The controls are stiff and sometimes unpredictable, sometimes when trying to jump straight up, Lester will end up leaping forward instead. And speaking of jumping straight up, you have to line up precisely with the ledge you want to climb up on, which can be time consuming and with enemies around can be a problem. Also unless you hang off a ledge to climb down (a time consuming process itself) you can't look down.
The game's graphics and music give off a nice tropical island vibe, I'll give it that much, but overall Lester the Unlikely is a game unlikely to be enjoyed very much.
