A remake of one of my earlier Walkthroughs (as well as an excuse to go back to one of my personal favourite games). The formatting is consistent throughout this time, the quality of gameplay I believe to be superior and I’ve included the Bestiary at the end.

01: EXPLORERS UNCOVER DORMANT HIVE (Target Time = 12 Minutes / Optional Objective = N/A)

You don’t have time to waste so move quickly. hatch the eggs and get the facehuggers to attack the colonists directly. There is a pack of Oswocs shortly outside the main base to get some ranged units. Once you have 15 – 20 aliens, march north and kill the humans.

02: GROWTH & EXPANSION (Target Time = 35 Minutes / Optional Objective = Kill all marines)

There are far too many humans to win a straight up fight. There’s Oswocs to the North-East so use these to grow. Keep sending raiding parties out, to bring back human hosts and slowly chip away at the marines. Once your feeling confident, push north and set up a new hive outside the first landing beacon before clearing out the base.

03: PROPOGATE THE SPECIES (Target Time = 32 Minutes / Optional Objective = Create 6 Runner Xenomorphs)

You’ll want to create separate from the egg sack often as your queen will be the main fighting force early. Once you have a dozen PredAliens you can push west and set up a hive just outside the cave. Theres too many Predguns south to overrun so run down, destroy one, retreat heal and repeat. The Predator clan leader and his troops are in the South-Est so employ the same hit and run tactics to lure him out.

04: BIO-ENGINEERED ALIENS (Target Time = 15 Minutes / Optional Objective = Amass at least 5000 Infestation points by the end of the mission)

Don’t waste time creating a hive. Hatch the eggs and send the facehuggers north. Once you have the Aliens overrun the K-Series.

05: LAB BREAKOUT (Target Time = 25 Minutes / Optional Objective = Kill the Weyland Yutani Chief Executive)

The hardest Mission. Use the runners early to hit and run and lure the nearby marines to your main alien group as they can regenerate quickly. Be especially careful of Smart gunners and flame troops and try to ambush them around corners. Push north and be careful not to lose too many aliens. Free the top right corner of eggs and quickly have them move south, avoiding the sentry gun. Focus on the egg and facehugger upgrades and quickly build up some drones as marines will be coming. Once you have a force, move north and make a new hive here as the marines will be hitting hard. Once you’ve cleared most of them out, move out to find and kill key targets.

06: QUEEN IS KIDNAPPED (Target Time = 28 Minutes / Optional Objective = Keep the freed Queen alive for the duration of the mission)

The queen is in the north-East so make a beeline for her. Free her quickly so she can help with the fight. Start making runners from a group to the South-West from here and upgrade the Queen. This will put the runners into a frenzy so they can’t be knocked back. Head South-East to clear the Predators first and then South-West to finish off the tougher Marine base

07: EXTINCTION OF THE BIO-ENGINEERED ALIENS (Target Time = 45 Minutes / Optional Objective = Wipe out all Predators)

There’s a large group of humans in the middle that you will want to avoid as fighting them is more hassle than it’s worth. There are docile cultists and Oswocs to the East of your position that can help you get started. Clear out the South of Predators before moving to their East base. Again, they are quite dug in so try to lure them out. Once they are dealt with, go North to finish off the K-series and beat the game.
