Aliens vs Predator (2010) Gameplay - Predator Mission 0: Tutorial and Mission 1: Jungle
I decided to race against the clock and bring the Predator and Alien campaigns as quickly as I can. I hope I can get the videos soon enough, or else I will put this series on hold until I find a window of time to upload whatever videos remain.
I continued with the Predator campaign, whose first chapter takes place off BG-386, presumably on the Predator Homeworld. There, the playable Predator is a Youngblood ready to fulfill his Rite of Passage to become an Elite Hunter. A group of Elite Predators supervise the Trials of the Rite, and verify that the Youngblood passes them properly. That mission explains you the basic gameplay mechanics of the Predator: Melee Combat, Focus Mode, Blocking, and the Plasma Caster firing modes, using Xenomorphs (referred to as "Serpents") as targets. This is the only campaign that features a standalone tutorial, and there are no statistics displayed when finished. That's why I labeled it as "Mission 0" instead of "Mission 1".
The first actual mission, which now takes place on BG-386, shows the attack against the USS Marlow from the Predator's pespective. The Predator Ship scanned the Marlow, and opened fire after verifying that was heavily armed and full of well-equipped Soldiers. Then, the Hunt begins, but first, some fellow Predators that arrived earlier were found dead when the Predator Ship scanned the planet's surface, so it is imperative to investigate their deaths and delete any trace of their technology, to avoid it from falling on the Human's hands. It is good to know, though, that hunting and investigating can be done at the same time.
What will the Predator find out about its fellows' deaths? Watch the video to discover it yourselves.
See you in the next video!
