One of the highest-profile changes in the makeup of Britain's frontline infantry has taken effect today, with the Yorkshire Regiment reducing from three battalions to two.

Under changes announced by the Army's 2020 restructuring, the 3rd Battalion - formerly the Duke of Wellington's Regiment - has changed its name to the 1st Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment.
